Hawk Eye Head Loupes-Regular Focus Black 1.6X & 2X

Hands-free magnification for close bench work, worn on the head so both hands stay on the job. The Hawk Eye Head Loupes in Regular Focus Black offer lightweight, comfortable magnification for jewelers, metalsmiths, and other precision craftspeople. Made in Japan, these head loupes use large hard-coated acrylic lenses set in black TR90 memory plastic resin frames, a flexible, durable material that holds its shape and adapts to a range of head sizes. Eye pads are constructed from elastomer resin for extended wearing comfort during long work sessions.

These are the black-framed, regular focus versions of the Hawk Eye Head Loupes. A red-framed long focus version is also available (part numbers 129.813 and 129.814), offering a slightly greater working distance at each magnification level. The magnification rating is the same across both color versions; only the working distance differs. As with all single-lens optics, higher magnification brings you closer to your work.

The long focus red-framed versions of the Hawk Eye Head Loupes are available separately: 1.6X long focus (129.813) has a working distance of 11-1/2" – 15-1/4" (29–39cm); 2.0X long focus (129.814) has a working distance of 9-1/2" – 13-1/2" (24–34cm). In single-lens optics, higher magnification results in a shorter working distance.
