The tool measures 1-7/8" × 2-1/2" and holds stock up to 1/2" thick. There is a 35 mm distance between the small integrated stop along both the flat 90° slot and the 45° slot to the edge of the tool, allowing you to hold and cut flat sheet up to that 35 mm length. It can be mounted in a vise or held in the hand: saw or file against it for perfectly flat results every time.
Warning: Some files are as hard as or harder than this jig vise, and those files will mark it. Strong force with just about any file may scratch the vise and can damage your file. Marks made on the vise are not an indication of a defect, only that the tool being used against the vise is harder than the vise itself.
