This oval faceted imitation amethyst is composed of a lab-created synthetic spinel doublet exhibiting a light to medium purple color. The doublet is constructed from two layers of synthetic spinel bonded together with a tinted adhesive, producing a stone that closely mimics the rich purple hue of natural amethyst — without the characteristic color zoning found in natural gems. Available in eight calibrated oval sizes ranging from 5x3mm to 12x10mm, these stones are well suited for setting in finished jewelry and metalsmithing projects. Calibrated gemstone sizes may vary slightly +/–0.10mm. Clean with warm, soapy water only; do not apply direct heat.
