Portable Watchmakers Vise

A watchmaker's vise holds a small movement, case or part steady while both hands stay on the work, and this one lifts straight off the bench when the job changes. The Portable Watchmakers Vise is a quality version of the classic watchmaker's vise, built for precision work at the watchmaker's or jeweler's bench.

Only the mounting base is secured to the workbench, through four screw holes. The vise itself detaches in a moment by sliding a lever back, and reattaches and locks securely when the lever is slid forward. That quick-release system makes it easy to move the vise between several bench positions once additional mounting bases are purchased separately.

The jaws are smooth and measure 2" (50 mm) wide with a maximum opening of 1-1/2" (38 mm). Fully closed, the vise measures 4-1/2" x 3" x 1-1/2". Mounting screws are not included.

The vise fits the additional mounting base sold as Part #158.020B, so one vise can be moved between as many bench positions as you have bases.
