Unlike standard diamond coated stainless steel discs, sintered diamond discs are composed of carbide-bonded compressed diamond material—diamond throughout—so they do not lose a surface coating in use. These discs are rigid rather than flexible like coated steel alternatives, which makes them well suited to precise, controlled material removal. This disc is made from 100 micron (standard grit) diamond material.
