Spearhead has not been able to supply all sizes in this kit as ordered, and Otto Frei does not have confirmed ship dates on open back orders. We will supply a partial set only, at a reduced price, based on what burs are in stock on the date of your order. For example, as of 7/29/2026, only 10 of the 15 sizes were available; the count may be more or less when you order. We will contact you with the exact sizes in stock and the updated (reduced) kit price. We are not back-ordering unavailable sizes, as restocking is random and unconfirmed.

You may also choose to fill in the set with larger sizes that are available. This will result in a set of 15 at additional cost.

Otto Frei carries Spearhead brand High Speed Steel (HSS) Ball Burs, hand cut by expert craftsmen in the USA. These burs are easily identified by the size stamped directly on their 3/32" shanks. While priced higher than imported Tungsten Vanadium Carbon Steel burs, Spearhead HSS burs stay sharper longer and offer extended service life compared to machine-cut alternatives. HSS burs are the preferred choice of quality jewelers.

This kit is designed to include one each of the first 15 HSS Ball Bur sizes, ranging from No. 1 (0.90 mm) through No. 15 (3.80 mm). The burs are supplied in a 36-hole wood bur box sized for 3/32" shanks, measuring 5" wide by 3" deep by 2-5/8" high.
