Round finishing burs cut and refine precious metal at the bench, and this kit spans the sizes used most for everyday setting work. The Otto Frei Swiss kit holds 9 Tungsten Vanadium Fig. 61 round finishing burs in a curated range from 1.20mm to 4.00mm, each on a 3/32" diameter shaft.
Machine-made to ultra-high precision tolerances, Tungsten Vanadium steel burs are uniformly consistent from piece to piece, cutting precious metal smoothly and cleanly with no chatter or drag. The modern Swiss manufacturing equipment combined with expert Swiss steel hardening technique makes this line of burs a consistent best seller at Otto Frei. High Speed Steel (HSS) burs are individually hand-cut and subject to slight variation between pieces, while these burs are machine-produced to exacting standards and deliver repeatable performance across every size in the set.
The burs arrive organized in a plastic bur box drilled for 3/32" shank burs, which keeps sizes in order for quick selection.
The 3/32" diameter shafts are compatible with standard flex-shaft and rotary handpieces.
High Speed Steel burs offer greater long-term durability than Tungsten Vanadium burs. Tungsten Vanadium burs provide excellent value and consistent quality at a lower price point, which makes them an ideal choice for everyday setting work.
