A disc cutter punches a clean, repeatable blank out of sheet, so you are not sawing and filing every shape by hand. This set of four hardened tool steel cutters takes teardrop blanks out of soft non-ferrous metals. Each punch is individually fitted to its matching hole to extremely close tolerances, which is what keeps the cut clean and accurate.

How to use a disc cutter:
- Place the disc cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
- Apply a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to the cutting edges of the punch.
- Strike with a suitable mallet, never a nail-driving hammer; a brass mallet is recommended.
- Support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same-diameter metal being cut to keep the upper and lower parts in alignment and minimize material sticking.
- Do not exceed the maximum recommended metal thickness for the cutter.
- Only cut soft, non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
- Ensure the cutting edges are facing down before striking.
- To prevent rust, keep the cutters lubricated between uses and store them in a dry location.
- Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to extend the life of the cutters.
