Whaley Ring Gauge

A ring gauge tells you how much metal stock a ring needs before you cut it. The Whaley Ring Gauge is a practical bench tool designed to help jewelers quickly determine the approximate amount of metal stock needed to make a ring, with no mathematical equations required. Created by Jay Whaley in collaboration with Eurotool and made in Pakistan, this ring ruler gauge streamlines one of the most common calculations at the bench and is sold individually.

The process is straightforward: first, use the gauge to measure the thickness of your metal stock. Then lay the stock along the gauge to get the precise length it should be cut. A built-in saw blade guide ensures your cuts are straight and true, so when you bend the stock, you achieve perfectly flat surfaces for joining, resulting in clean, professional seams every time.

Markings are included on both sides of the gauge, making it equally comfortable for left- or right-handed jewelers.
