Ring and Hoop Press by Wubbers-Scallop 12

The Wubbers Ring and Hoop Press – Scallop 12 Pattern is a professional-grade, 2-part die system that lets jewelers and metalsmiths quickly form patterned rings and hoops without the need for an expensive hydraulic press. Made of quality steel, this press accepts all types of wire and produces consistent, beautifully textured rings and hoops ranging from 13 mm (1/2") inside diameter up to 36 mm (1-3/8") outside diameter.

The system consists of an inner top die, an inner bottom die, and an outer sleeve. A precision pin-and-groove alignment system ensures the top and bottom dies register perfectly every time, so your pattern lines up cleanly on every piece. Simply form your wire on a mandrel, join the ends, seat the ring in the bottom die within the outer sleeve, place the top die over it, and strike with a weighted rawhide mallet or suitable hammer. The result is a crisp Scallop 12 patterned ring or hoop ready for finishing.

Compatible with square or round wire profiles, this press is ideal for production work or one-off custom pieces. Use commercially available pattern wire, or create your own using a draw plate or pattern rolling mill for fully custom results.
