ソフトコンパウンド仕様のSolderiteロウ付けボードは厚さ3/4"で、標準の1/2" Solderiteボードより柔らかくなっています。この柔らかな組成により、ボードにピンを直接差し込んだり、表面にくぼみを付けたりして、ロウ付け中にワークをしっかり固定できます。Solderiteボードはアスベスト代替品としてOSHAの承認を受けており、強度を高める不活性充填材と補強材を含むケイ酸カルシウムで作られています。熱をよく反射し、使用後はすぐに冷めるため、大きなロウ付け作業ではセラミックボードやシルクアーボードより効率的です。また、木炭ブロックや耐火れんがより清潔な作業面を提供します。
