Compatibility

Generally safe for gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, rubies, sapphires, amethyst and citrine. Ultrasonics do not remove tarnish.

Do not ultrasonically clean emeralds, opals, turquoise, pearls, amber, ivory, or other porous, soft or heavily included stones. Do not submerge watch heads; clean metal bands with a holder that suspends the watch head above the water line.

Notes

• Do not place items directly on the tank bottom. Always use a basket or rack.
• For most jewelry soils, 95% of cleaning occurs in approximately 30 seconds, so avoid prolonged runs on delicate items.
• Operate with the tank at least 3/4 full. Warm, pre-mixed non-ammoniated, non-flammable solution performs best.
• Degas by running the unit for a few minutes before cleaning for maximum cavitation.
• Decant settled solution each morning to reuse the clean upper layer, screen the dregs for valuables and dispose of the rest responsibly.
