Dumont Pattern No. 5 Tweezers

Dumont Pattern No. 5 Tweezers are Swiss-made precision instruments designed for handling microscopic parts with exceptional control. Similar to the Pattern No. 4 but distinguished by their extra-narrow, needle-like points, these tweezers feature indented shanks with beveled edges and tips that have been extra-honed to a needle-like shape and sharpness. Overall length is 4‑1/2" (110mm), with tips measuring 0.10mm wide by 0.06mm thick.

Available in two quality grades — High Precision (HP) and Electronic Quality (EQ) — and across multiple metal types, these tweezers can be matched precisely to the demands of your bench work.

The High Precision (HP) grade features extensive hand finishing and represents Dumont's finest quality. These are the tweezers trusted by the world's most skilled watchmakers. The Electronic Quality (EQ) grade offers less hand finishing than HP and is designed for assembly work, making it an excellent choice for reliable everyday use.

• Carbon steel tweezers (157.235) are magnetic and require a light coating of oil during use and storage to prevent rust.
• Dumostar alloy (157.238) is hardened to a minimum Rockwell 61 and is designed to maintain its points almost indefinitely with careful use.
• HP grade tweezers undergo extensive hand finishing; EQ grade tweezers have less hand finishing and are suited for assembly and everyday tasks.
