A micromotor system for the grinding, drilling, stone setting and polishing done at the jeweler's bench. The Nakanishi NSK EMax EVOlution Micromotor Basic Kit, Ring Style brings together three core components in a single professional package: the NE-249 Control Box, the ENK-410S Standard Micromotor and the IR310 Ring Style handpiece. Trusted by goldsmiths and jewelers worldwide, NSK micromotors are recognized for exceptional build quality, smooth power delivery and long-term reliability.

The system operates at 1,000–40,000 RPM and supports both forward and reverse rotation. Set speed directly from the dial on the NE-249 Control Box, or, when paired with the optional foot control, through foot-operated set point control or variable speed control. The NE-249 features two motor inputs, so a second motor and handpiece can be added at any time. This is a 120V unit.

The ENK-410S motor is the most popular NSK motor among jewelers: slim, vibration-free and highly reliable. The IR310 Ring Style handpiece uses a twist-to-open, twist-to-close quick-change mechanism and is supplied with both 3/32" and 1/8" collets, so it takes 3/32" and 1/8" shanks straight out of the box.

Features

  • Speed range 1,000–40,000 RPM, or 250–10,000 RPM with the optional 4:1 reduction gear
  • Forward and reverse rotation
  • Speed controlled by the dial on the NE-249 Control Box or by optional foot control
  • Optional foot control enables set point or variable speed operation
  • NE-249 Control Box accepts two micromotor inputs for expanded capability
  • ENK-410S motor is slim, vibration-free and designed for bench use
  • IR310 Ring Style handpiece uses a twist-to-open, twist-to-close quick-change collet system
  • Includes both 3/32" and 1/8" collets

Compatibility

  • The IR310 handpiece takes 3/32" and 1/8" shanks with the supplied collets.
  • The NE-249 Control Box accepts two micromotors, so a second motor and handpiece can be run from the same box.
  • An optional 4:1 reduction gear drops the working range to 250–10,000 RPM.

Notes

  • Foot control and 4:1 reduction gear are sold separately and are not included in this kit.
  • This product is not available for sale or shipment outside the United States and Canada.

you need to get one of these!

i have used this for over 5 years as a replacement to other brands tried and it has become invaluable in both stone setting and polishing, without a doubt it performs better than any other micromotor i have used and has a Mercedes feel to the handpiece, it has not given me a moment of problems, 5 star performance all around and worth the investment for any professional
