Foredom H.8D Handpiece with Duplex

Intricate work that keeps the handpiece moving through awkward angles benefits from a more flexible connection to the flex shaft. The Foredom H.8D is a collet-style handpiece with a slim profile and a chuck guard sleeve that protects your fingers when working close to the workpiece. The guard sleeve slides back easily when changing collets or accessories, keeping your workflow efficient and safe. This model uses a duplex spring connection for added flexibility compared with the standard single-spring design.

The H.8D measures 9-3/8" long on a 5/8" diameter barrel and comes with 3/32" (2.35mm) and 1/8" (3.18mm) collets plus a set of chuck wrenches, so it accepts both common shank sizes out of the box. Additional collets are available separately.

Important notice regarding duplex springs: Duplex springs and all parts related to the USA-made duplex spring connections carry no warranty. Duplex springs must not be bent beyond 45 degrees during use. Operating beyond this angle or improper detachment from the flex shaft can cause damage, and duplex springs may also fail during normal use. If you select this model, consider buying additional inner duplex springs (single piece: part number 134.279 Foredom HP76; pack of 12: part number 134.280 Foredom HP76B) and familiarizing yourself with the inner duplex spring replacement procedure, as this is the most commonly replaced component.

Notes

Each handpiece ships with the H.8D duplex spring collet handpiece, a 3/32" (2.35mm) collet, a 1/8" (3.18mm) collet, and a set of chuck wrenches.

Do not bend the duplex spring beyond 45 degrees during operation, and take care when detaching the handpiece from the flex shaft to avoid spring damage. Replacement inner duplex springs are available as a single unit (134.279, Foredom HP76) or a pack of 12 (134.280, Foredom HP76B). This product is subject to California Proposition 65 warnings for beryllium, nickel, and lead.
