Closeout Glardon-Vallorbe Escapement Files - Set Of 12 - Assorted Cuts

Escapement files, also called watchmakers files, are the thinnest and smallest files made, built for the most delicate and precise filing work at the bench.

This custom assembled set brings together 12 genuine Swiss Made Glardon-Vallorbe escapement files in an assorted mix of cuts and shapes. Sets shift as individual numbers sell out and new combinations are formed, so each set reflects the stock on hand. Some shapes appear more than once, differing only in cut grade or cut length, which gives you useful redundancy at the bench.

Every Glardon-Vallorbe escapement file has a square handle end and measures 5½" (14 cm) from tip to handle end. The millimeter figure always refers to the cut length, not the overall tip-to-tip measurement. The higher the cut number, the finer the cut.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made precision files are produced with a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship, from heat-tempered chrome alloy steel for accuracy, cutting performance and longevity on all metals. Formerly distributed by Grobet USA under the Grobet Swiss name, these files are now offered directly under the Glardon-Vallorbe brand.
