Platinum (950 Platinum/Ruthenium) Speedwire Laserwire

Feed filler wire into a laser weld with fingertip control at the bench. Speedwire Laserwire in 950 Platinum/Ruthenium supplies precise laser welding wire in a dispenser system designed for professional jewelers and laser welding technicians. Because laser welding uses the parent metal as the filler material, this is a true karat-quality wire rather than a solder, producing seamless joins that wear and tarnish at the same rate as the surrounding piece.

The Speedwire dispenser comes pre-loaded with an annealed coil of laser wire housed in a sealed, see-through compartment at the rear of the unit. Roll the dispenser's rollers forward with a fingertip to feed wire precisely through the stainless steel guide tube, or reverse direction to retract it. The tube supports the wire as close as 2mm from the weld point, giving the operator exceptional placement control without repositioning hands or workpiece, which saves time and improves accuracy on every weld.

Each dispenser and refill contains 10 feet of laserwire, available in 30 gauge (.010" / 0.25mm) or 32 gauge (.008" / 0.20mm) diameter. Dispensers are color-coded by metal type and clearly labeled with gauge and metal quality. The sealed compartment keeps wire clean and tangle-free, and the transparent housing shows the remaining wire at a glance. Refills fit directly into any Speedwire dispenser, making one dispenser practically indefinitely reusable.
