How we source our metal
Draw, bend, coil and forge round wire at the bench without fighting firescale. Argentium Silver round wire is sold in 1-ounce coils and gives jewelers and metalsmiths an alternative to traditional sterling silver wire. Argentium Silver is a silver alloy carrying a small amount of germanium, which helps block oxygen from passing through the surface of the metal and thus cuts firescale and tarnish sharply. That makes it a strong choice for fine metalwork where clean, bright results matter.
Available from 16 gauge (1.30 mm) through 30 gauge (0.25 mm), this round wire is supplied in dead soft temper. Note that Argentium 930 Silver has been replaced by Argentium 940 Silver.

Notes
- All gauges ship as Argentium 940 except 30 gauge, which is remaining stock of Argentium 930 DWO.
