Sparex No. 2 from Krohn Technical Products is a granular, dry acid compound for pickling, cleaning and removing surface oxidation, scale and incrustation from non-ferrous metals. It is an easy, long-lasting alternative to handling liquid sulfuric acid and produces smooth, clean, bright surfaces without attacking fine detail. The 2.5 lb (1.13 kg) bag makes approximately 1 gallon (3.8 L) of solution and is made in the USA.

Notes

1. In a dedicated, non-reactive container, add the Sparex granules to warm water, never the reverse, and stir to dissolve.
2. Maintain the solution temperature per your shop practice, then quench and pickle as usual.
3. Rinse work thoroughly after pickling and neutralize in a mild baking soda bath if desired.

• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing; do not inhale the dust, and note that it is harmful if swallowed.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection, and work with adequate ventilation.
• Store in a cool, dry place and keep the bag tightly closed when not in use.
• Because of its hazardous classification, this item ships ground only and cannot travel by air service.
