Glardon-Vallorbe Three Square Escapement Files - LE3014

Escapement files, also called watchmakers files, are short files used for close detail work at the bench, and their length is measured from the tip to the end of the cut rather than over the tang. These Swiss made Glardon-Vallorbe three square escapement files are gradually tapered and cut to the point, with all three faces cutting, so they follow interior angles and V-shaped grooves. The three square profile is also listed as triangular, triangulaire or Dreikant.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss made files are manufactured to precise production standards, using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship. They are made of heat-tempered chrome alloy steel and deliver consistent performance on all metals.
