A file handle gives a tang-only file something to grip so you can drive it accurately without the tang working into your palm. Made in Italy for Glardon-Vallorbe of Switzerland, these unbreakable blue plastic handles are built for comfort and long-term use.
The textured surface provides a secure, non-slip grip, the shaped body reduces hand fatigue during extended filing, and a hole at the top lets the handle hang at the bench. Each handle carries a tempered metal tang insert with two threaded sections of different diameters, which aligns the file and holds it positively. The threaded insert also makes the handle reusable: unscrew the file in use and thread in a new one.
