丸型ジョイントエッジやすりは、幅を広げずに狭くタイトなスロットの内部を深く削れます。これは、幅と厚さがどちらも平行で、エッジが丸く、エッジ部分のみが切削されているためです。Glardon-Vallorbe LP1170およびLP1171の丸型ジョイントエッジ精密やすりは、Chenierやすりとしても知られ、まさにこのような精密な作業のために設計されています。
宝飾職人は、ジョイント、ヒンジ、チューブの製作にこれらのやすりを使用します。また、ギターの修理や製作におけるブリッジおよびナットのスロット加工にも同様に重宝されています。全12種類の厚さは0.3 mmから2.0 mmまでで、切削目は2（中目）、切削長は100 mm（4"）、幅は10 mm（0.39"）、全長はタングを含めて5-5/8"です。各やすりにはタングが付属し、ハンドルは付属しません。

工場部品番号の読み方: 4-2-0.3 = 4（インチ）- 2（切削目）- 0.3 mm（厚さ）。表示されているゲージ番号は、アメリカ標準のB&Sゲージではなく、最も近い英国ワイヤーゲージ / スタブスワイヤーゲージ（BWG/SWG）です。メートルサイズは正確です。

Read & write reviews ↓Ordered LP1170-4-2-0.6, LP1171-4-2-0.8, and LP1171-4-2-1.0 round edge files. When I received the order the LP1170-4-2-0.6 was the only one that is round. The other two, LP1171-4-2-0.8, and LP1171-4-2-1.0 are flat end files.
They need to not advertise them as round edge files. Big difference between the two types.
These are very special files and quite useful for many tasks, like Joint grooves and hinges. Get them while you can we are fortunate to have a vendor Like Otto Frei to carry them! They are impossible to find elsewhere!
