Glardon-Vallorbe LAC2462-140-G10 Buff File Set of 6 - Needle File Shapes

Part # 133.115 6 In Stock Weight -- lb -- g
Current price $150.00

Description

Buff files finish and burnish inside the tight spots a needle file has already cut, so you can refine bevels, flanks, and the edges between details without reaching for emery sticks, fine abrasive paper, or abrasive stones. Glardon-Vallorbe builds this set, model series LAC2462-140-G10, as six buff files in familiar needle file shapes, each 140mm long and supplied as a tang only with no handle. Sold as a set of 6.

Buff files are not cutting files. They are ceramic-coated finishing and burnishing tools carrying a composite that includes synthetic diamond particles. Against conventional abrasive grits, the G10 rating corresponds to roughly 500–800 grit (30–20 micron) under normal pressure, and light pressure brings performance closer to 900–1200 grit (20–15 micron). They file and polish at the same time, leaving crisp, clean delineations between details and planes that abrasive rubber wheels cannot match, and the anti-corrosive coating resists rust through extended use.

Typical bench work includes beveling, flank finishing, cleaning casting sprue lines, deburring jewelry, and replacing rubber wheel finishing steps with more control. The rigid body lets you create a sharp edge and reach confined, detailed areas.

  • Anti-corrosive coating resists rust
  • Rigid construction allows sharp edge creation and access to tight, detailed areas
