Jewelers saw blades cut and pierce metal at the bench, running in a jeweler's saw frame or a fretsaw. Antilope blue label blades are recognized around the world as one of the best jewelers saw blades you can buy: consistently straight and true, extremely sharp and perfectly tempered. They are made in Germany by Niqua, and their outstanding quality is the result of years of experience matched with the most modern production methods.
These blades are hard, which makes them less forgiving. Experienced professional jewelers favor them for that added hardness, and the same hardness makes them somewhat more prone to breakage in inexperienced hands.
Niqua describes the blades this way: the antelope blue saw blades were developed well over 100 years ago and belong to the first generation of jewelry saw blades, the original fretwork blades for goldsmiths and jewelers. They are often referred to as metal saw blades because their special hardness, positive cutting angle and pronounced round back make them suitable not only for sawing gold and silver alloys, but also for sawing hard metals through to stainless steel. The blades are hardened blue and bound by the dozen with silver wire.

These blades are used in jeweler's saws and fretsaws. They will not fit coping saws.
They saw gold and silver alloys, and also hard metals through to stainless steel.
When choosing the correct saw blade, a good rule of thumb is to have at least three teeth cutting at one time.
The piercing drill column gives the twist drill size to use for the starter hole at each blade size, with the matching high speed steel twist drill number in parentheses.
