Badeco 437 Quick Change Handpiece 3/32" with USA Duplex Spring

A quick change handpiece lets you swap burs by twisting the body instead of hunting for a chuck key, which keeps a flex shaft moving through a job. The Badeco 437 Quick Change Handpiece (Part #134.747) is a precision twist-turn handpiece for flex shafts with 3/32" diameter shafts. Otto Frei first imported it from Badeco of Switzerland more than 30 years ago, and it has long been regarded as one of the most rugged and finely built quick change handpieces available for professional bench use. Under a renewed agreement with Badeco of Switzerland as their main North American distributor, the 437 is again available in the United States and to anyone who needs USA standard key tip quick-disconnect connections.

The 437 uses a fixed 3/32" collet that opens and closes with a simple two-handed twist of the handpiece body, with no key required. Fit, finish, and tolerances are characteristic of Swiss manufacturing, with every component assembling to the precision of a fine mechanical timepiece.

This model includes a USA-made duplex spring attachment so it connects to standard Foredom-style flex shaft machines. Read the duplex spring notice below before ordering.

Notes

Important notice regarding the duplex spring: Duplex springs are not manufactured by Badeco and are attached post-factory. The duplex spring and every part related to the USA-made duplex spring connection carry no warranty. Duplex springs must not be bent beyond 45 degrees during use. Working past that angle or bending the spring while detaching the handpiece can cause damage, and duplex springs may also fail in normal use.

If you choose this duplex spring model, stock spare inner duplex springs and learn to replace them, since the inner spring is the component most likely to need replacing.
