Durston Jewelers Bench Apron

A bench apron catches precious metal filings, dust, and small components as you work, so the sweeps stay where you can recover them. The Durston Jewelers Bench Apron is an economical, practical version of that accessory, made from high-quality fire-retardant PU (polyurethane) leather, also known as leatherette. It is the same apron found on the Durston student workbench, and it comes with pre-cut holes, metal eyelets, and rope fastenings for easy attachment. It is also commonly called a lap cloth or jewelers lap apron.

• This apron comes with pre-made eyelets and ropes. You will need to supply your own fixings to suit your specific bench setup.
• Tech Tip: Leather aprons are easy to keep clean and encourage the good habit of keeping precious metal scrap types separate. To protect from accidental soldering damage, let the front of the apron hang loose or hook it back away from the work area when soldering.
