Foredom K.1020 Microgrinder With Adjustable Jacobs Chuck Handpiece

Deburring castings, taking down weld seams, and moderate to heavy grinding all require flex shaft torque without a flex shaft tethering your hand. The Foredom K.1020 Microgrinder combines that torque with the freedom of a micromotor, and its handpiece was the first micromotor handpiece built around an adjustable Jacobs chuck style design, similar to the well-known Foredom #30 handpiece. The geared three-jaw chuck accepts bits up to 4.0mm (5/32") in diameter and closes all the way down to zero, so one handpiece covers a wide span of shank sizes. The kit runs on dual voltage: 110V / 120V or 220V / 240V, selected by a switch on the back of the control box.

Compatibility

All Foredom micromotor handpieces are interchangeable with the Foredom micromotor control box, so the Foredom standard quick-change handpiece and the Foredom reciprocating handpiece can both run on this system.

Notes

The kit ships with the control box, the high torque handpiece with its geared three-jaw #0 chuck and key, a variable speed foot control, a handpiece cradle, and an extra set of motor brushes.

The H.MH-120 high torque handpiece delivers more than twice the torque of the standard Foredom H.MH-170 handpiece, which is what makes the K.1020 suited to heavier grinding than a typical micromotor.
