Sterling silver half hard round wire is drawn from certified conflict-free .925 silver alloyed with .075 copper, sourced from North American suppliers and refined mostly from recycled U.S. precious metals. It is sold by the piece in pre-cut 12 inch (305 mm) lengths, ready to use, and the same wire is also stocked in one ounce coils for longer continuous runs.

Half hard temper sits between rigidity and workability: firm enough to hold its shape under stress, yet still workable with standard hand tools.

Wire gauge and diameter run inversely: the higher the gauge number, the thinner the wire. 18 gauge (1.00 mm) is thinner than 16 gauge (1.30 mm). One ounce coils of this wire are sold separately for higher volume work.
