Otto Frei 5-1/8" Fully Polished "Naked" Pliers - Kit of 4 on Wood Stand

Fully polished pliers are the ones a jeweler reaches for when a mark left in the metal is a mark that has to be filed back out. These 5-1/8" mirror polished "Naked" pliers from Otto Frei are handmade in a small family-owned factory in Germany, where the craft of making high-quality tools has been passed down from generation to generation. The mirror polish and the detailed care given to their construction set them apart: perfectly balanced and shaped, with precisely formed tips, the highest level of fit and finish available, and matched, true construction throughout.

The "Naked" designation means the pliers are completely mirror polished, handles included, which takes considerably more hand polishing than a plier finished with rubber grips. They are also springless, made without the leaf springs found in the regular German plier line, and they were originally requested by the Revere Academy. Overall length is 5-1/8" with a 23 mm jaw, and the set is sold as a kit of 4 on a wood display stand.

Every one of these German-made pliers is built from tough carbon steel, which lasts longer than stainless steel. Carbon steel does rust if it is exposed to moisture or the elements, so keep the pliers protected when they are not in use.
