Description
Solder platinum on a surface that will not contaminate the metal. The Platinum Hi-Temperature Soldering Board from Grobet USA is engineered specifically for platinum work, where contamination from the soldering surface can ruin a piece. Made from a specialized ceramic material, this board will not contaminate platinum during high-heat soldering operations and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 3000°F, well above the demands of platinum soldering.
At 4" × 4" × 1/2" thick, this board provides a stable, heat-resistant work surface suited for bench jewelers and metalsmiths working with platinum and other high-temperature alloys.
