Description

A solder pick places and moves solder exactly where you want it at the bench, and this is a top-quality titanium pick built for precise solder positioning during soldering operations. The titanium tip comes to a very sharp point, making it ideal for placing and manipulating solder with accuracy. Titanium is the recommended material for use with gold and silver alloys because its melting point is slightly over 3000°F and because gold and silver will not stick to titanium, so cleanup and workflow remain uninterrupted.

The pick features a yellow-shaded brass ferrule and a comfortable wood handle for a secure, balanced grip during use.

Features

  • Titanium tip resists adhesion from gold and silver alloys
  • Very sharp point for precise solder positioning
  • Melting point of slightly over 3000°F, suitable for high-temperature soldering
  • Yellow-shaded brass ferrule for a secure tip-to-handle connection
  • Comfortable wood handle for a balanced grip

Compatibility

Recommended for use with gold and silver alloys, which will not stick to titanium.

Notes

Also available in a tungsten carbide version for working with platinum, part number 154.766.
