Otto Frei's Plumb Gold Solders are made to the plumb standard, meaning the gold content matches the karat mark — 14K solders are .585 gold and 18K solders are .750 gold. Unlike repair solders, which use lower gold content for easier flow, plumb solders are designed for manufacturing applications where maintaining true gold quality is essential.
Because of their true gold content, plumb solders flow at higher temperatures than repair solders. Ideal for professional jewelers who need strength, integrity, and compliance with gold standards.
