Speedwire Silver 30 Gauge Laserwire With Dispenser & Refills

Placing laser welding wire by hand is awkward and puts fingertips close to the weld. Speedwire is a laser welding wire dispenser built to solve how to control and place laser wire precisely, and this dispenser comes pre-loaded with specially formulated H-80 silver laser wire, an alloy of 80% silver with the balance copper and a small amount of zinc. It is good laserwire for silver repair and works well on eyeglass repair jobs too.

The laser welding wire is housed in a sealed see-through compartment at the rear of the dispenser. Move the rollers forward with a fingertip to dispense wire through the stainless steel guide tube, or move them the other way to retract it. Because the laserwire is no longer held directly in the hand, the chance of an accidental finger burn is greatly reduced.

The stainless steel tube supports the wire as close as 2mm from the weld, so the operator can control wire position without moving their hands or the work piece, which saves the time spent repositioning and refocusing. Each dispenser and refill is color coded for metal type and clearly labeled with wire gauge and metal quality, and the annealed coil stays clean and tangle free with the remaining wire in view so it does not run short unexpectedly.

• Speedwire laserwire is karat material and not solder, as laser welding uses the parent metal as the filler. The result is a seamless join that wears and tarnishes at the same rate as the rest of the piece.
