A 10X triplet is the loupe you reach for when a stone or a setting has to be judged accurately at the bench. The Nikon 10X Triplet Loupe brings precision Japanese optics to gemstone grading and jewelry inspection. Housed in a lightweight black plastic frame, this loupe features a 13mm orthoscopic triplet lens delivering high-definition resolution of more than 63 lines per millimeter, meeting the demanding standards of professional gemologists and jewelers.

The black frame is purposefully designed to eliminate light reflections that can alter the apparent color of a stone during grading. The lens is fully corrected for color aberrations and exhibits no spherical distortion at the edges, which is critical for accurate assessment. While 13mm may appear smaller than competing loupes, Nikon's optics deliver the same true 13mm area of focus as larger-lens models. Larger loupes simply include unfocused peripheral area beyond that 13mm zone, and the laws of optics cannot be circumvented.

A thoughtfully engineered lanyard eyelet is rotated 90 degrees from conventional placement, keeping the loupe properly oriented when worn on a chain or cord rather than flopping sideways. Made in Japan.
