How we source our metal
Pre-cut solder chips take the measuring and snipping out of the job, so a joint gets the same amount of solder every time. These medium silver solder pieces are sold in packs weighing approximately 1/2 troy ounce (10 DWT).
Each piece is clipped to a precise .040" × .040" (1 mm × 1 mm) square, so there is nothing to cut before you solder and waste stays low. The alloy is 70% silver and flows at approximately 1360°F, a mid-range flow temperature suited to work where an easy solder would be too low and hard solder is unnecessary.
