精密な彫刻、彫金、仕上げ作業には、ペンのように持てる細さと、切削中も回転速度を安定して維持できる安定性を備えたハンドピースが必要です。Foredom MH-170は、こうした作業向けに設計された高速ロータリーハンドピースです。操作性を高める細身で輪郭のあるボディと、作業台でビットを素早く確実に交換できる、コレットに対応したクイックチェンジ式ロータリータイプチャックを備えています。

このハンドピースはForedom K.1070キットに付属するマイクロモーターで、標準で3/32"（2.35mm）コレットが付属します。オプションの1/8"および3mmコレットは別売りです。使用にはForedomコントロールボックスHP4-917が必要で、付属していません。
