Citric Pickle Ottotech

Pickle lifts flux and oxides off a piece once the solder joint has cooled. OttoTech Citri-Pickle is a mild citric acid pickle compound for gold, silver, brass and copper, a greener alternative to standard pickle solutions that is effective, gentler on metals, safer to handle and biodegradable. Unlike conventional pickle compounds, Citri-Pickle does not react with steel to turn sterling silver or gold pink, which makes it a reliable choice for everyday studio use.

Citri-Pickle works slightly slower than standard pickle solutions but stays highly effective at removing flux and oxides after soldering. It also cleans stainless steel shot and can be used in a magnetic tumbler. As an organic product, Citri-Pickle develops an off smell once it has turned and needs replacing.
