An ultrasonic bath lifts polishing compound, grease and grime out of settings, chain links and crevices a brush cannot reach. The OttoTech OttoTechSonic 1/2 gallon cleaner holds a 1.8 liter tank with a built-in heater and timer, and its digital controls set operating time and temperature as well as power and frequency.

Adjustable power and frequency let you dial the bath in from low output for delicate work up to full high power for removing grease, grime and polishing compounds from all metal jewelry.

Notes

Basic ultrasonic tips:

• Always fill the tank to maximum capacity before operating
• Always use an ultrasonic cleaning solution, never plain water alone
• Always use a basket or suspend items in the bath, and never place items directly on the tank bottom
• Warm to hot solution cleans more effectively, so allow the unit to heat up before use
• Run the unit for a few minutes before introducing items so the solution can de-gas
• Keep the unit and the surrounding work area clean

Daily bath maintenance: Begin each day with a fresh ultrasonic bath. If you are using OttoSonic Ultrasonic Cleaning Solution, pour off the top portion of the previous day's solution and set it aside for reuse. Discard the bottom portion, where dirt and grime settle overnight. Use a strainer when discarding so any gems or valuables that settled to the bottom are recovered.
