Designed for jewelers and metalsmiths working with soft precious and non-ferrous metals, these cutters produce clean, sharp-edged shapes from gold, silver, copper, brass and nickel silver up to 20 gauge thick. Made in India from properly hardened tool steel, each cutter has extremely sharp cutting edges individually fitted to their matching holes with close tolerances for accurate, consistent results.

Compatibility

The cutters work on soft non-ferrous metals, including gold, silver, copper, brass and nickel silver, up to 20 gauge thick. They are not for use on ferrous metals. Drive them with a mallet or in a hydraulic press.

• Use on top of a rubber pad for support during cutting.
• Apply a cutting lubricant to the cutting edges before use; Stay Sharp is recommended.
• Use a suitable mallet only; never use a nail-driving hammer. Brass mallets are recommended.
• Support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of matching-diameter metal to maintain alignment and minimize material sticking.
• Do not exceed the maximum recommended thickness of 20 gauge.
• Only cut soft non-ferrous metals; do not use on ferrous metals.
• Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
• To prevent rust, keep cutters lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
• A 95 durometer urethane pad is recommended to extend cutter life.
