Recommended for: jewelry metals such as gold, silver and platinum, set diamonds and hard gemstones such as ruby and sapphire, and shop tools and parts. Ultrasonics do not remove tarnish.

Do not ultrasonically clean: soft or porous stones including emeralds, opals, turquoise, pearls, amber and ivory; stones with many inclusions or fractures; and heat- or shock-sensitive materials. Do not submerge complete watches. To clean metal bands, suspend the watch head above the solution and immerse only the bracelet using an appropriate holder in a basket.

Operating guidelines: do not run the unit continuously, because most cleaning occurs within the first 30 seconds. Keep the solution level between 3/4 and 7/8 full. Always use a non-ammoniated, non-flammable ultrasonic cleaning solution, and pre-mix concentrates with water before filling the tank. Degas the bath by running the unit for a few minutes before cleaning. Always use a basket. Never place items directly on the tank bottom, as this can damage transducers and void the warranty.
