Ram roller burnishers hammer porosity, scratches, and fire scale out of precious metal castings, compressing the surface so it finishes denser and smoother. These solid carbide ram rollers from Busch are 6mm in diameter, mount on a 3/32" (2.35 mm) shank for flex shaft use, and are offered with either 22 faces or 36 faces.
The 22-face roller covers a slightly broader area than the 36-face version, and the difference in effect is slight. Both are intended for gold, platinum, and silver castings, giving fast, controlled surface refinement before final finishing.
