Ceraton Round Ceramic Fibre Files Polishing Kit of 9

A ceramic fibre polishing rod mounts in a handpiece and cleans up settings, corners, and hard-to-reach surfaces that a rotary brush cannot touch. Ceraton ceramic fibre polishing sticks represent a revolutionary approach to precision polishing for jewelers and metalsmiths. Each rod is constructed from ceramic and glass fibres bonded with a thermosetting resin, producing a thin polishing rod with exceptional tensile strength that will not snap or break even at high rotational speeds. Color-coded across nine grits, this complete kit takes you from aggressive material removal all the way through to a fine 1200-grit finish. Made in Japan and sold as a kit of 9.

At 2.35 mm (3/32") in diameter and 50 mm (2") long, the rods carry a round cross-section tapered toward the point and are supplied as a tang only, with no handle. Use diamond dressing wheels (such as Otto Frei items 110.175 and 110.180) to shape rods into custom profiles for tight corners, filigree holes, and other hard-to-reach areas. Tips may also be shaped using abrasive paper. Also known as Cera-Stone.
