Durston 1208 New Version 12" Guillotine Shear

A bench guillotine shear cuts straight and mitred lines in sheet metal under lever pressure. This updated 12" Durston shear is sized for jewelry and small metalsmithing sheet work, combining a solid bench presence with a smoother, lighter feel than earlier heavy-duty models. As you pull the handle through a cut, the blade tracks down in a precise, controlled arc for clean, straight shears. Durston manufactures it in the United Kingdom.

Notes

This newer 12" guillotine shear is lighter than Durston's original heavy-duty model while retaining a robust frame and four-edge blade design. It is ideal for cutting non-ferrous sheet such as copper, brass, silver, and gold up to its rated capacity, as well as light-gauge mild steel.

At 130 lb (59 kg), the shear is meant to live on a bench. Mount it securely to a solid work surface, and rotate or replace the blade edges as needed to maintain clean cuts. Mounting hardware is not included.
