Durston 1019 Agile C110 Combo Rolling Mill

A combination rolling mill reduces sheet and shapes wire at one station, so a bench can move between flat stock and profiled wire without changing machines. The Durston Agile C110 Combination Rolling Mill delivers professional-grade performance in a lighter package: a thinner frame than the DRM 110 line, with full structural integrity maintained for everyday studio use and no loss of roll quality or durability. A traditional T-bar replaces the heavy cast handwheel for roll opening adjustment, which accounts for much of the weight savings.

The combination rolls span 110mm across three functional zones: 50mm flat, 22mm half-round and 33mm wire grooves, giving jewelers and metalsmiths versatile forming options in a single mill. Rolls are induction hardened to 64 HRC to a depth of 6mm for long-term wear resistance, and the bearings are self-lubricating and maintenance free.

The heavy-duty 4-to-1 gearbox sets this mill apart, making roll turning significantly easier and reducing operator fatigue. Two specially formed gears behind the cover contribute to smoother rolling action, and a protective guard surrounds the top gears.

Notes

The wire grooves on this mill use a traditional wire groove profile, a six-sided irregular hexagon shape sometimes referred to as diamond or square wire. This geometry is structurally strong, straightforward to produce, and compatible with a wide range of drawplate profiles. Traditional wire grooves are intended for reducing wire diameter, enabling the creation of varied wire profiles using drawplates. They are generally not used for producing finished wire product directly off the mill.
