Durston 1029 Agile C130 Combo Rolling Mill

A combination rolling mill reduces sheet and shapes wire at one station, so a studio can move between flat stock and profiled wire without changing machines. The Durston Agile C130 Combination Rolling Mill delivers professional-grade performance on a lighter frame construction, engineered to handle the demands of everyday studio use without any compromise on quality or durability.

A traditional T-bar replaces the heavy cast handwheel for roll opening adjustment, contributing to the mill's reduced weight. The rolls are induction hardened to 64 HRC to a depth of 6 mm, ensuring long-lasting surface integrity. Bearings are self-lubricating and maintenance-free, just like those found in the premium DRM line.

The heavy-duty 5-to-1 gearbox is a standout feature, making roll adjustment significantly easier and reducing operator fatigue during extended use. Behind the cover, two specially formed gears deliver exceptionally smooth rolling action. A protective guard around the top gears adds an important safety measure for the working studio.

The combination roller configuration gives jewelers and metalsmiths versatile forming capability in a single mill: a flat rolling area for sheet reduction, 11 traditional wire grooves ranging from 8 mm down to 1 mm, and half-round profiles in five sizes.

Notes

A note on wire grooves: The grooves in this mill use the traditional wire groove profile, a six-sided irregular hexagon shape sometimes called diamond or square wire. This profile is structurally strong, straightforward to produce, and ideal for reducing wire diameter for use with a variety of drawplate profiles. Traditional wire grooves are best suited for reducing wire diameter, not for producing finished wire profiles.
