A reciprocating hammer handpiece drives its tip in a straight impact stroke rather than spinning it, which is what professional stone setters and engravers use when a rotary tool cannot do the job. The Foredom H.MH-110 is a brush-type version of that tool, delivering more power than a typical micromotor handpiece. It connects directly to the Foredom micromotor control box HP4-917, which is required and sold separately.
The hammer action does not engage until light pressure is applied to the tip, so you can position the tool exactly on the workpiece without marring the surface or triggering unexpected movement. Once engaged, impact force is adjustable from light to full by rotating the metal ring, with the motor either running or off. Stroke speed is set on the manual dial of the compatible control box and runs from 0 to 5,000 strokes per minute. That combination of pressure-activated engagement and dual adjustability suits channel setting and select engraving techniques.
The handpiece measures 6-1/4" long with a 9/16" grip diameter and a 1" motor diameter, weighs 13 oz (369 g), is rated DC 30V / 1.5A, and is CE marked. It ships with the pictured accessories.
Compatible with: Foredom HP4-917 control box; Foredom kits K.1080, K.1090, K.1020, K.1070, and K.1053 (Dual Handpiece Kit).
Not compatible with: Foredom K.1030 or K.1060 kits. This handpiece requires a brush-type motor control box and will not function with brushless systems.
