A Jacobs chuck handpiece grips whatever shank the job requires, which is why it is the one most benches reach for first. The H.30 Jacobs chuck handpiece is Foredom's benchmark jeweler's handpiece, running true at low speed and taking on high-speed, heavy-duty rotary work day after day at the bench. Its #0 three-jaw chuck holds tool shanks up to 5/32" (4.0 mm), and a solid, balanced feel in the hand makes drilling, grinding, and polishing feel precise and controlled.

Compatibility

Uses the standard key tip connection for Foredom flex shaft motors and other compatible drive systems that accept interchangeable handpieces. This is the handpiece specified for use with the Foredom DP-30 drill press attachment and the Ikohe belt sander, and it was also used with Allset stone setting tools.

Notes

Each handpiece ships with one H.30 in the color selected and one CK-O chuck key with a molded plastic handle.

The H.30 is the most widely used jeweler's handpiece in the United States and is regarded as the reference standard for this style of chuck handpiece. There are many look-alike copies on the market, but they typically do not match the precision, build quality, or long-term reliability of a genuine Foredom H.30.

For best performance, keep the chuck clean and use the supplied CK-O chuck key to tighten burs and mandrels securely, especially for heavier grinding or cutting operations.
