Foredom M.SR-2 230V Motor Only

An overhead flex shaft motor for grinding, sanding, drilling, and polishing at the bench, supplied with a standard key tip shaft and sheath for use with quick disconnect handpieces. The Foredom M.SR-2 is the export flex shaft motor for 220V / 240V regions, and the reversible 1/6 HP motor runs overhead with a smooth, steady pull.

The motor holds power up to 18,000 RPM under normal load and ships with its standard flexible inner shaft and matched outer sheath. It must be run through a compatible Foredom speed control, which is sold separately.

Compatibility

• For countries and regions where the mains supply is 220V / 240V
• Must be used with a compatible Foredom speed control, sold separately. Do not plug the motor directly into a wall outlet.
• The standard key tip shaft connects to Foredom and many other manufacturers' quick disconnect handpieces.

Notes

• Supply voltage: the M.SR-2 is intended for 220V / 240V AC systems and must not be used on 100–127V circuits.
• Never operate the motor without a proper Foredom speed control. Plugging it directly into mains power can damage the motor and is unsafe.
• In reverse, screw-top mandrels with loose polishing wheels may unscrew. Use pre-mounted wheels permanently fixed to mandrels when running in reverse.
• Alternating forward and reverse directions can help extend abrasive life and improve symmetry when grinding, carving, or polishing.
