Fretz - Michael Good Hook Stakes

Fretz Michael Good Hook Stakes are precision-crafted forming tools designed for synclastic and anticlastic metalsmithing techniques. Developed through a collaboration between renowned tool maker Bill Fretz and award-winning jewelry designer and metalsmith Michael Good, these stakes bring professional-grade forming capability to any studio. The techniques they support were first pioneered by visionary metalsmith Heikki Seppa, and until this collaboration, tools of this caliber were largely unavailable commercially.

Each stake is cast in 420 stainless steel, expertly hand polished, and hardened to 50C on the Rockwell scale—built to Michael Good's exacting specifications by the Fretz factory. Available individually or as a complete set of six stakes with the stake holder, these tools enable jewelers and metalsmiths to create the flowing, three-dimensional forms that define synclastic and anticlastic jewelry design.
