Glardon-Vallorbe Checkering Pillar Precision Files - LP1136

A checkering file puts repeatable serrations on a knife edge or lays down a checkered pattern like the one on a gun handgrip, and this is the pillar shape in a 6 inch length. Glardon-Vallorbe checkering pillar precision files are parallel in width and gently tapered in thickness, with the over cut running parallel to the file edges and the uncut face oriented 90 degrees to the over cut. They are supplied as a tang only, with no handle fitted.

Checkering files use a different teeth or lines per square inch (LPSI) standard than ordinary precision files. All measurements are given at the thickest point of the file.

• Note on sizing: Glardon-Vallorbe precision files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file. A 6" precision file measures 8-1/2" overall from tip to end of tang.
• Cut grades on this file run 00 (20 LPSI) through 4 (75 LPSI); the higher the cut number, the finer the serration.
• All measurements are given at the thickest point of the file.
